The World has been a Circus! So lets Join One!.
Lets admit it. The world has been a circus for the last year. So why not join one.
World Circus Day is here once again on April 17th which marks literally a year since so many entertainers and artists lost their jobs due to the pandemic.
Launched in 2010, World Circus Day has grown year by year and in 2019 more than 328 events took place in 46 countries dedicated to the biggest and most important common festivities of the global circus community.
One of these circus entertainers was James Bustar, For the first time in his juggling career, Bustar has been faced with global challenges. Like many around the world, these challenges have broken each of us. Throughout his quarantine and isolation, not only has he sank farther into quirky madness- but he has brought other entertainers with him!
Bustar saw the need internationally to begin freeing people's minds. He saw how despair had befallen the entertainment community and felt he had to get to work. Throughout ISO, Bustar has created a series of videos that promote: mental health, community awareness and highlight the struggles of global entertainment. Videos like “An Apple a Day” or “Stripped Bare” may be seen on his Facebook or at YouTube.
Everyone dreams of running away and joining the circus, and since the pandemic, when cruise work dissapeared for James, he has gone back to his roots and is passing on his knowledge at many circus schools.
During the Pandemic he made a variety of collaboration videos celebrating the circus and arts worldwide. You can see some of these collaborations here : https://www.jamesbustar.com/collaborations/
