Leaping Lizards (www.leaping-lizards.co.uk) has just launched its vibrant summer collection of children’s clothing, made from a variety of fabrics sourced from all over the world, as well opening its first shop, at 220 Archway Road, Highgate London, N6 5AX, where all the clothes are designed and handmade on site.
Owned by two friends, Aika Esenalieva and Penny Macinnes, Leaping Lizard’s Summer collection includes a wide choice of clothes for children in vibrantly coloured fabrics some featuring animals and exotic flowers. The range includes baby trousers (with cotton knit cuffs at the ends), cotton pinafore dresses, spaghetti strap dresses and T-shirt dresses, reversible shorts and shirts. There are also stylish sunhats for toddlers and the shop is now stocking children’s toys - puzzles, tea-sets, and games, that are selected carefully for quality and educational value.
African fabrics are a speciality and the owners source and import themselves creating original, bold clothing - that is practical and often reversible.
"We are committed to making good quality, comfortable and affordable children's fashion.” says Aika Esenalieva, “And, in addition to selling online, we are delighted to have opened our first shop, where we can meet customers face to face and they can see us sewing the fabrics on a daily basis.”
Throughout the summer, Leaping Lizards will also be offering homemade, healthy and delicious fruit ice-lollies that have been made by a local chef and are perfect to help children enjoy the retail experience!
Adults are catered for too with a selection of stylist trousers and sundresses.
In addition to the Highgate shop, Leaping Lizards can also be found at Broadway Market, London Fields every Saturday and also occasionally at Herne Hill Market.
