at Ottawa / Virginia Beach / London.
Ottawa, Ontario, Virginia Beach, VA and London U.K. – March 6, 2018 - idoodledu inc., a global education company that builds Integrative STEAM learning experiences for K-20 students and educators, announced today a multi-year sponsorship agreement with The R-Squared Charitable Fund (the Shannon and Johnathan Robertson Charitable Fund), for the support and promotion of the Cubes in Space™ program
Cubes in Space is the only global competition, offered at no cost, for students 11-18 years of age to design and propose experiments to launch into space or a near space environment on a NASA sounding rocket and zero-pressure scientific balloon. The integrative STEAM-based program is in partnership with NASA Langley Research Center and the Colorado Space Grant Consortium and with support from NASA Goddard Space Flight Center’s Wallops Flight Facility.
Cubes in Space brings to young explorers the opportunity to discover answers to their own questions. And what better way to give young imaginations and their boundless curiosity a place to soar than the chance to launch a design of their own into space? This year, experiments will be launched into space from NASA Wallops Flight Facility on Wallops Island, Virginia in late June 2018 and from the NASA Columbia Scientific Balloon Facility in Fort Sumner, New Mexico in late summer 2018.
“We are honored to have the R-Squared Charitable Fund as a major sponsor for Cubes in Space. Their generous grant allows us to sustain the program ensuring students, no matter their location or socio-economic backgrounds, can participate for years to come”, said Amber Agee-DeHart, President of idoodledu inc., “R-Squared is providing the chance for students to further develop their critical thinking skills and become capable of developing creative solutions to challenging problems in society and within their communities.”
“R-Squared believes in correlative effects such as the link between early opportunity exposure and future academic achievement and the relationship between innovation and future global prosperity,” said Shannon Robertson, Co-Founder of R-Squared Charitable Fund. “The Cubes in Space program from idoodledu provides students with unique exposure to the space program and a platform to test innovative ideas. We are proud to partner with such a worthwhile program.”
