On Mon, 7th, Dec 2015, EduKit (www.edukit.org.uk) Teachers can finally go online to find, share and rate resources that actually work for their pupils
at www.edukit.org.uk.
EduKit, an innovative website that allows teachers to search for programmes offered by hundreds of organisations offering personal and professional development programmes for children and young adults, has now launched a bold new feature allowing teachers to post and review recommendations on programmes that have had a tangible impact on their pupils.
EduKit, which is free to use, was set up by youth workers and parents and already won numerous awards, including a Department of Education award for Innovation. With over 800 diverse organisations registered including all the Premier League Football Clubs, The Prince's Trust, UCL, the Metropolitan Police, The Jamie Oliver Foundation, Night Zookeeper, Teen Tech, Kidscape, Inspirational Youth, Bang Edutainment and many more, there is no pupil need that EduKit is unable to address.
EduKit is fast becoming THE way that schools locate support for pupils, and to celebrate the release of their recommendations feature, are running a free draw whereby each week, 5 lucky teachers will win £40 Waitrose vouchers just for spreading the word to 10 of their colleagues. And the teacher who invites the most other teachers by 18th December will also win an iPad Mini.
Here is what some of their schools had to say:
“We use EduKit because it provides us with instant access to intervention programmes, therefore the team can be more strategic rather than operational, It gives us new ideas on intervention, it works well with our budget as 30% of the programmes are free and many low cost, we can use the website to account for pp spend when completing our student case studies and pupil premium audit”
Lambeth Academy
"EduKit is an amazing tool for schools. The process was straightforward and easy to use, and the matches that were found for us were completely relevant."
Southfields Academy
"Edukit puts many useful links and contacts in one place. Teachers can direct students towards work experience opportunities and events; teachers are able to find useful contacts in industries and organisations linked to their subjects."
Preston Manor High School
Schools are under increasing pressure to do more with less budget. EduKit is a valuable resource for them to find the 'right' support at their fingertips
