One of the North’s leading family attractions switches on its epic Winter Illuminations – the country’s largest and most creative light displays - in time for Halloween.
The award-winning Enchanted Forest in the historic grounds of the Stockeld Park Estate will transform after dusk with over 100,000 lights.
Stretching for a mile, dazzling light effects, animated installations and a captivating soundscape will create an enchanting experience for all ages in the ancient beautiful woodland.
Stockeld Park also feature a series of Halloween Adventures for young children over the autumn half term.
George Grant, Estate Manager at Stockeld Park, said: “Stockeld Park is a really magical destination for young children and families of all ages during Halloween. We’ll have over 4,000 pumpkins in our fields, and spooky fun suitable for young children. Set in open ancient woodlands it’s also a really special place at dusk for those of all ages looking to soak up the Winter Illuminations and capture the spirit of Halloween to create sparkling autumnal memories.”
The spooky entertainment includes Ghouls in the Maze as young witches and wizards are invited to be brave in the maze as ghouls lurk around its twisty corners.
Suitable for little ones, there’s also a witching hour bringing frightful fun in the Enchanted Forest. Witches in the Forest sees families follow a trail map to find real witches and help them cast their Halloween spells. The forest will transform into a ghoulish wonderland as the Winter Illuminations light up at dusk.
