FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Miriam Margolyes Heads to Harrogate
Miriam Margolyes OBE stars at the Royal Hall in Harrogate this October to discuss her new and much anticipated memoir, This Much is True.
The nation’s favourite, and naughtiest, treasure is hosted by Cause UK, on Sunday afternoon at 3pm on October 17.
At the age of 80, the Harry Potter star finally decided to tell her life story. Endlessly entertaining, the long-awaited memoir promises an extraordinary adventure through a truly independent mind and life.
Born in Oxford, England in 1941 and educated at Newnham College, Cambridge, Miriam is an award-winning veteran of the stage and screen, and an internationally acclaimed voice-artist. Winner of the BAFTA Best Supporting Actress award for The Age of Innocence, she received an OBE in 2002 for Services to Drama.
This Much Is True recounts stories that stretch from Scorsese to Streisand, a cross-dressing Leonardo di Caprio to Isaiah Berlin. It’s been praised as clever and self-critical, warm and honest, and full of life and surprises, from the inimitable author.
Miriam will be in conversation with former BBC Radio York broadcast journalist, Anna Wallace, followed by an audience Q&A.
