With just days left for the old £1 coins to be classed as legal tender, the Charlie’s Chance Foundation fundraising team are asking people to donate their old coins.
October 15th is the last day when the old £1 coins will be accepted as legal tender and with the date fast approaching, the team at Charlie’s Chance Foundation is encouraging everyone to have a look behind the back of the sofa, in old coat pockets, and even piggy banks, to check that no old coins get left unused.
Every £1 donated to Charlie’s Chance, a charity that supports children and families who have been affected like Charlie, will make a massive difference and go towards the foundation.
Charlie’s mum, Sophie Fearns, said: “We know first-hand how hard it is to fund treatment and pay for all the additional costs as well as dealing with your child having cancer. At Charlie’s Chance, we aim to be able to ease that pressure by supporting other families so every pound raised will really help.”
If you want to get involved and donate, drop off any old pound coins at one of the following locations:
The Good Catch Fish & Chip Shop Crosby, Liverpool Road,
Donnas Doll House Vintage, Crosby Road North, Waterloo, Liverpool
Waterloo Eye Centre, South Road Waterloo in Liverpool
Waterloo Barber Shop, St. John’s Road, Waterloo, Liverpool
If you are unable to get down and donate in person, you can donate online here www.paypal.me/charlieschance
